James Blunt – debut in the Royal Albert Hall during Moon Landing tour
James Blunt will make his debut in the Royal Albert Hall, London on Saturday 19th April 2014. The exclusive show is part of his ‘Moon Landing 2014 Tour.’
The British singer-songwriter is currently touring in Europe to promote his fourth album ‘Moon Landing‘ released in October 2013 by Custard / Atantic Records.
The leading single of the album ‘Bonfire Heart’ reached number four in the UK Single Chart and soon became an international radio hit. Last February the album topped number eight in the UK album Chart – Top100. The new single ‘Heart To Heart‘ presents a fresh and more mature sound, an uplifting pop song.
Blunt says about this tour: “I am so excited for me and my band to get back on the road and play these new songs live, along with some of the older hits. My fans have never let me down, and there’s nothing better than playing for them at the shows. They have been incredibly supportive of me over the years.”
In 2005 James Blunt becomes an international popstar when the single ‘You’re Beautiful’ reaches the number one position in ten countries. Selling 11 million copies of his debut ‘Back To Bedlam‘ over the world, reaching Platinum status in many countries. The second album ‘All The Lost Souls‘ topped the charts over 20 countries in 2007. In 2010 ‘Some Kind Of Trouble‘ the third album is released, followed by an intense world tour. Blunt sold twenty million records worldwide.
The Royal Albert Hall is one of the most famous concert venues in London. Mostly specialized in classical music performances and the annual Proms since 1941. Since its opening by Queen Victoria in 1871, there are every year more than 350 events from opera, ballet, concerts till sports even. The concert hall is renovated between 1996 and 2004.
